The Vampire Facelift Method:
3 Specific Steps:
1. Filler injections
2. Platelet-rich plasma
3. PRP Injections
Step 1: The patient’s face is numbed. You won’t feel a thing! Hyaluronic acid-based filler will be injected specifically in target areas. This helps sculpt a younger appearing yet natural face. Don’t forget, blood must be drawn to create PRP injections.
Step 2: Standard blood draw is needed ( approx 2 teaspoons). Next, we use what’s called a Platelet- Rich Plasma (PRP). A growth centrifuge used to separate + isolate PRP.
- These can be known as growth factors that help to heal damaged tissue. They are extracted from red blood cells
- They work really hard to create increased collagen and you guessed it! Improve blood flow to the tissue.
- A living human donor provides the amniotic tissues needed for the process. In the final step, they’re re-injected into the injured area. Thus, creating both repair to the tissue and reduces inflammation.
Step 3: Isolated PRP has to be strategically administered to the key areas. Your board certified plastic surgeon will use a small needle to complete the process. Together, the hyaluronic acid-based filler and PRP create what’s known as a platelet rich fibrin matrix or PRFM. PRP injections are also used as treatments for the healing process in sports injuries, making them incredibly safe and effective.
If you’re wary of blood or needles, perhaps this isn’t the best choice for you! However, recovery is usually about 72 hours. You may encounter some skin peeling or flaking.
